Cameron Johnson and Nicholas Metz provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Neshannock. The longest such play in WPIAL A Big Seven this season, the connection resulted in 95 yards.

South Side moved up to 434 from 512 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Rams were able to make the jump by defeating West Shamokin 40-18.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Johnson threw for 193 and two touchdowns and Metz had 145 yards receiving. On the ground Zack Woznichak chipped in 62 yards. Lee James helped Our Lady of the Sacred Heart's passing attack out by catching two balls for 31 yards.

6-foot-0 quarterback Joe Salmen of Union Area is the league leader in passing yards this season with 519. He has also thrown six touchdowns. On the ground, Western Beaver's Zach Perry has rushed for 593 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Nick Miller. The Western Beaver star has 10 catches for 335 yards.

A big matchup in WPIAL A Big Seven this week will be when Sto-Rox takes on Laurel. The Vikings are currently in second, while the Spartan are in fifth.

Rochester extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Laurel, 35-13. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
