SouthWest Edgecombe extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday, bumping them up to 6-3. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Washington Pam Pack. While the Cougars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Callie-Ann Webb paced SouthWest Edgecombe's offense, picking up five kills. Webb got some help from Payton Carraway and her 13 assists. Carleigh Bell and A'Chonacey Mabry kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

As for Washington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered against SouthWest Edgecombe since October 12, 2021.

Despite the loss, Washington still got an impressive performance from Naomi Huss, who had six digs and two aces. Huss has been hot, having also posted 12 or more assists the last seven times she's played.

SouthWest Edgecombe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Nash Central on the 17th. As for Washington, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Eastern Wayne on the 18th.
