Baseball Recap: Bernalillo Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bernalillo can now relate to. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Goddard Rockets on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Friday.

Bernalillo saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Acosta, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Bernalillo has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. As for Goddard, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Bernalillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Goddard, they will square off against Bloomfield at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
