Soccer Recap: Berwick Comes Up Short

Berwick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Tunkhannock Tigers, falling 9-2. While losing is never fun, Berwick can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 474th, while Tunkhannock are ranked 84th).

Berwick's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Tunkhannock, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Berwick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tunkhannock, they will challenge Lakeland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Tunkhannock will be up against Lakeland's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.12 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
