Baseball Game Preview: Flintridge Prep Wolves vs. Polytechnic Panthers

For the second straight game, Flintridge Prep will face off against Polytechnic. The Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Flintridge Prep is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Flintridge Prep's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Polytechnic 10-0. The game snapped a strange streak: the last three times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Will Grable was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Flintridge Prep: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-13 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Aparicio, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Flintridge Prep pushed their record up to 8-13 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Polytechnic, they moved to 6-12 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
