Liberty Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madison Shifflett led the charge by scoring nine points along with 12 rebounds and two steals. Shifflett also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Minner, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Hilltop Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Liberty Christian Academy, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10.
Hilltop Christian will take on Bethel Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Southeastern Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Southeastern Christian Academy is ranked 559th, while Liberty Christian Academy is ranked 537th).
