Volleyball Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hillcrest was the 3-1 winner over Cyprus when they last played one another on September 4th, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

Hillcrest took Cyprus into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 16-25, 21-25, 15-13.

Nola Bonner paced Hillcrest's offense, picking up 14 kills. Bonner got some help from Jane Thomas and her 24 assists.

Leading Cyprus to victory were Saris Rengifo and ?Ilisapesi Tu'ivai. Rengifo had 28 digs and three aces, while Tu'ivai had 20 assists and 14 digs. That's the most aces Rengifo has posted over her last five matchups.

Hillcrest now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Cyprus, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-15.

Hillcrest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Hunter on the 2nd. As for Cyprus, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Kearns on the 2nd.
