Softball Game Preview: Redding Christian Lions vs. CORE Butte Lynx

Redding Christian hasn't had much luck against CORE Butte recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lions will challenge the Lynx at 4:00 p.m. Redding Christian has given up an average of 13.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Redding Christian is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to Burney.

Meanwhile, CORE Butte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Princeton.

CORE Butte's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Redding Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15-1.

Redding Christian couldn't quite get it done against CORE Butte when the teams last played back in April as they fell 11-6. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
