Basketball Recap: Schaeffer Academy Takes a Loss

Schaeffer Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-62 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grand Meadow Superlarks. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Superlarks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Schaeffer Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Grand Meadow, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.

Schaeffer Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 77-67 victory against Lyle/Pacelli on the 10th. Grand Meadow has also already played their next game, a 60-35 loss against Spring Grove on the 10th.
