Basketball Recap: Brady Takes a Loss

Brady lost against Brownwood back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs took a 56-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

Loss or not, Brady got some senior leadership from Sean Jacoby and Demarcus Reed. Jacoby dropped a double-double with ten points and 15 boards, while Reed went 5-for-8 en route to 21 points and six rebounds. That was a full 41.2% of the Bulldogs' points, marking the sixth time in a row Reed has posted more than a third of the team's points. Haden Moore was another key player, putting up eight points.

Brady's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Brownwood, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Brady will face off against San Saba at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brownwood, they will head out to challenge Lake View at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
