Basketball Recap: Western Yell County Takes a Loss

Western Yell County lost against Mount Ida back in January of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Western Yell County Wolverines took a blow against the Mount Ida Lions, falling 69-41. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Western Yell County's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Mount Ida, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Western Yell County will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. Western Yell County is facing St. Paul at the right time seeing as St. Paul is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mount Ida, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-49 loss against Caddo Hills on the 30th.
