Baseball Recap: IMG Academy White Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bradenton Christian last Tuesday, IMG Academy White came back down to earth. The IMG Academy White Ascenders fell just short of the Anclote Sharks by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Ascenders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Brennan Sink was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits.

At the plate, Owen Armstead was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and one RBI.

IMG Academy White now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Anclote, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

IMG Academy White didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-11 loss against Inspiration Academy Red on the 26th. As for Anclote, they will face off against Pinellas Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
