Lakewood's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Zanesville Blue Devils 3-0. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-12, 25-16.

Melena Brunner paced Lakewood's offense, picking up ten kills. Brunner got some help from Elise Rayburn and her 26 assists. Brunner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Lakewood's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Zanesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Coming up, Lakewood will challenge Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Zanesville has already played their next contest (against Maysville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
