Williams's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Live Oak Lions 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won eight in a row.

Williams wouldn't go down easily and took Live Oak into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21, 20-25, 17-25, 15-6.

Yurydia Rocha paced Williams' offense, picking up 12 kills. Rocha got some help from Ariana Paiz and her 27 assists. Finally, Lupita Zuniga kept Williams' defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

The win got Williams back to even at 1-1. As for Live Oak, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Williams has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Redding Christian on the 23rd. As for Live Oak, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Lindhurst on the 26th.
