Volleyball Recap: Mentor Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Mentor extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Chazz Weigel. The Cardinals blew past the Medina Battling Bees 3-0 on Thursday with plenty of help from Weigel, who had 12 digs and two aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Mentor never let Medina on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 25-22.

Mentor is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Medina, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mentor will face off against rival Hudson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Medina is set to challenge their familiar foe Strongsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
