Recap: Grainger Grizzlies vs. Cherokee Chiefs

You can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Grainger Grizzlies's strategy against the Cherokee Chiefs on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Grainger blew Cherokee out of the water with a 53-12 final score. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Grainger has managed all season.

Grainger's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Dellinger, who scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adison Hayes, who scored 12 points along with three steals.

Grainger pushed their record up to 10-15 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36 points. As for Cherokee, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season.

Coincidentally, Grainger and Cherokee will both be playing Cumberland Gap the next time they take the court. Grainger will head out to face Cumberland Gap at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Cherokee will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
