Basketball Recap: Palmetto Comes Up Short

Palmetto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 48-32 to the Braden River Pirates. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 44-37.

Despite the loss, Palmetto still got an impressive performance from Sanaii Rich, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. The matchup was Rich's eighth in a row with at least ten points.

It was another big night for Kelis McGrady, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds for Braden River. The dominant performance gave McGrady a new career-high in points. Kamiyah Mcgrady was another key player, putting up seven points along with 16 boards and six assists.

Palmetto's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Braden River, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Palmetto has already played their next contest (against Bayshore), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Braden River didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-41 loss against Parrish Community on the 14th.
