Maroa-Forsyth waltzed into their game on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Clinton Maroons. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Maroa-Forsyth easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-13.

Leading Maroa-Forsyth to victory were Sydney Pottala and Lainey Larner. Pottala had 11 digs and two assists, while Larner had nine digs and one assist. That's the most digs Larner has posted over her last 12 matches.

Maroa-Forsyth's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Clinton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Maroa-Forsyth will take on New Berlin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clinton, they will square off against Shelbyville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Maroons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
