Kettle Moraine is a perfect 5-0 against Brookfield Central since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lasers will challenge the Lancers at 4:30 p.m. Kettle Moraine will be strutting in after a win while Brookfield Central will be coming in after a loss.
Kettle Moraine gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Waukesha North by a score of 8-5. The game was the first time the Lasers have beaten the Northstars on their field since May 17, 2022.
Briella Hack spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Sarah Marcheske was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Katie Brisk was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Brookfield Central has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.4 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They came up short against Hamilton, falling 12-4. The matchup marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Brookfield Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Brand, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Kettle Moraine's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Brookfield Central, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Kettle Moraine hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Brookfield Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Kettle Moraine skirted past Brookfield Central 3-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lasers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
