Volleyball Recap: Braedyn Holland Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Cleburne + How To Watch

Joshua barely beat Cleburne the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Owls blew past the Yellowjackets 3-0 on Friday. The Owls have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Yellowjackets, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Joshua took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-15.

Joshua's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braedyn Holland, who had 14 assists and ten digs. Holland is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madilyn Lacey, who had 16 digs.

When it comes to explaining why Cleburne lost, don't look at Haley Price. Despite the final result, she had 14 assists and seven digs.

Joshua is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Cleburne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

Coincidentally, Joshua and Cleburne will both be playing Mansfield Summit the next time they take the court. The Yellowjackets will host the Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Owls will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
