Mitchell has gone a perfect 3-0 against Shoals recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bluejackets will welcome the Jug Rox at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mitchell has six straight wins, Shoals has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Mitchell and Springs Valley, and Mitchell kept the tradition alive. The Bluejackets blew past the Blackhawks 11-1 on Tuesday. The Bluejackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by nine runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Shoals lost 22-1 to Wood Memorial on Wednesday.

Peyton Harger was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Maisie Kidwell also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Shoals' defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Mitchell, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Everything went Mitchell's way against Shoals in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Mitchell made off with a 19-9 win. Will the Bluejackets repeat their success, or do the Jug Rox have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
