Taft and Oak Park-River Forest squared off in some playoff action  on Friday, but Taft had to settle for second. They fell  4-1 to the Huskies. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Taft got a good showing from  Lorelei Monk, who   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Monk has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Taft saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Morgan Eccarius, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double.
Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 23-14. As for Oak Park-River Forest, the  victory was  the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-8.
As of now, neither Taft nor the Huskies have any future games scheduled.
