Baseball Game Preview: South Garner Titans vs. Clayton Comets

The South Garner Titans are taking a road trip to take on the Clayton Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Garner is looking for their season's first win.

On Wednesday, South Garner came up short against Clayton and fell 7-2.

For Clayton's part, Lucas Hatch looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Hatch gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Clayton got a massive performance out of Owen Fitzsimmons, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Jennings Dunlap, who scored a run and stole Four bases. while going 1-for-2.

South Garner's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Clayton, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5.
