Volleyball Recap: Jake Gagnon Key Part of Team Effort in Rams Win

Granby won the last time they faced Sabis International and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Rams blew past the Bulldogs 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Granby not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Sabis International between 17 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Granby to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Gagnon, who had ten kills, four aces, and one block. Gagnon is crushing it when it comes to aces: he's served at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Walsh, who had six kills, three digs, and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Granby was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in four consecutive matchups.

Granby's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Sabis International, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Granby will take on Ware at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The Rams are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Sabis International, they will head out to square off against Chicopee at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
