League recap: Cohn overpowering for Desert Ridge in past week

I Section II league recap: 3/27/13

I Section II's top pitcher this week was Desert Ridge's Skyler Cohn. Over the past week, he racked up two wins and 13 strikeouts.

Jacob Deanda was on fire this week, as he led the league with a .500 average with 11 RBIs. Buena went 3-2.

Rincon's pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only two hits and two walks, both of which led the league.

Buena scored 52 runs this week to lead the league, but the Jaguars are tops in runs scored this year, with 139.

43 batters hit over .400 this week. Leading the pack was Jason Freedberg, who hit 1.000 by going 3-for-3.

Cohn was the top pitcher this week as he paced the league with two wins and 13 Ks.



Austin Cooper led Mountain View to a win on March 22, as he notched eight strikeouts to beat Safford, 18-2.

DeAnda drove in five runners as Canyon del Oro defeated Buena 16-14 on Friday. He went 3-for-5 and scored two runs.
