Volleyball Recap: Harper Takes a Loss

Harper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Devine Warhorses / Arabians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Longhorns of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2022.

While Harper was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23.

Leading Devine to victory were Cami Carroll and Kynedie Cruz. Carroll had 13 digs and one assist, while Cruz had nine assists and five digs. That's the most digs Carroll has posted over her last 12 games.

Harper's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Devine, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Harper has already played their next matchup (against Brady), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Devine, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Veterans Memorial on the 21st.
