Basketball Preview: East Orange Campus Jaguars vs. Livingston Lancers
The East Orange Campus Jaguars will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Livingston Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
East Orange Campus' game on Saturday was all tied up 28-28 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Seton Hall Prep. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as East Orange Campus came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Pirates are ranked 128th).
Meanwhile, Livingston lost to the Bulldogs at home by a decisive 46-27 margin on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Livingston has scored all season.
East Orange Campus' defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Livingston, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Everything came up roses for East Orange Campus against the Lancers when the teams last played back in January of 2020 as the squad secured a 61-32 victory. Does East Orange Campus have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
