Softball Recap: Midland Comes Up Short

Midland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 7-4 to Central DeWitt. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2024.

Midland's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Central DeWitt, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Midland will venture away from home to take on Springville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Central DeWitt, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-3 win against Calamus-Wheatland on the 14th.
