Basketball Recap: Wright City Takes a Loss

Wright City lost against Clopton back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wright City Wildcats took a blow against the Clopton Hawks, falling 73-36. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wright City's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Clopton, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Wright City has already played their next contest (against Elsberry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Clopton Hawks take on the North Callaway Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clopton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matchups -- so hopefully North Callaway likes a good challenge.
