The Math Civics & Sciences Mighty Elephants waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They secured a 53-47 W over New Town.
Math Civics & Sciences' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maki Hill, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals. Hill has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sair Alsbrooks, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Math Civics & Sciences is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for New Town, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
