Basketball Game Preview: Arnett Wildcats vs. Leedey Bison

Arnett is 0-10 against Leedey since December of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Arnett Wildcats will host the Leedey Bison at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Arnett challenged Timberlake on Saturday. Arnett walked away with a 51-41 win over Timberlake. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Leedey had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-48 victory over the Tigers. Given the Bison's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Tigers are ranked 228th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leedey pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Arnett, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Arnett came up short against Leedey when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 38-32. Can Arnett avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
