It's playoff time, and Amherst had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Pacelli Cardinals with a sharp 8-0 win on Thursday. Amherst might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by three goals or more this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Amherst, bringing their record up to 15-2-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matches. As for Pacelli, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16-1 record this season.
