Preview: Prosper vs. McKinney
The Prosper Eagles will head out on the road to take on the McKinney Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Prosper is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Last Friday, Prosper faced Allen in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Prosper put the hurt on Allen with a sharp 4-1 win. The result was nothing new for Prosper, who have now won six games by three goals or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, McKinney narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Guyer 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for McKinney.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Antranik Souza and
Elijah Udoka, who scored both of McKinney's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 14 so far this season.
Prosper's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for McKinney, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which lines up perfectly with their 9-2-3 record this season.
Prosper took their victory against McKinney when the teams last played back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 4-0. Does Prosper have another victory up their sleeve, or will McKinney turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
