Basketball Recap: Riverside Christian Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Riverside Christian had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 59-55 to the Cedar Key Sharks. The matchup was a 26-26 toss-up at halftime, but the Wranglers couldn't quite close it out.

Riverside Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabe Pate, who shot 71% from the field en route to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kyan Cooper, who posted 12 points and five boards.

Riverside Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-25 defeat against First Christian on the 20th. As for Cedar Key, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lafayette at 6:30 p.m. on December 1.
