There's no place like home for La Joya Community, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Mohave Thunderbirds on Monday. The Fighting Lobos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

Cayson Hamrick was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). Hamrick was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gavino Bustamante, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Saul Chairez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.

La Joya Community was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

La Joya Community is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Mohave, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 17 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season.

As of now, neither La Joya Community nor Mohave have any future games scheduled.
