Football Game Preview: Ennis Lions vs. Terrell Tigers

Two dominant backs in WENDERIUS JONES and JULIAN ASHLEY are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Ennis Lions will take on the Terrell Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Thursday. Ennis put the hurt on Greenville with a sharp 28-8 victory. Ennis might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Terrell strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against Midlothian Heritage by a score of 21-14. Those 21 points were actually the fewest the Tigers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The win got Ennis back to even at 3-3. As for Terrell, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Ennis came up short against Terrell in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 41-36. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Tigers' RODERICK HAMBRICK JR., who rushed for 236 yards and five scores while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Now that the Lions know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
