             The Bishop McGuinness Villains will square off against the Mountain Island Charter Raptors at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  point totals in their previous games.
 Bishop McGuinness will head into Friday's  match after some sweet revenge against Pine Lake Prep: Bishop McGuinness couldn't quite topple Pine Lake Prep on Friday, but it was still a huge improvement compared to the 32-point  loss they took when the two last played. Bishop McGuinness put the hurt on Pine Lake Prep with a sharp  34-14 win. The result was nothing new for the Villains, who have now won three contests by 20  points or more  so far this season.
  Alex Waterfield continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 267 yards and three touchdowns while completing 74.1% of his passes, and also rushing for 93 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. That's the most  rushing yards  he has posted since back in November of 2023.  Isaac Ross was another key player, gaining 86 total yards and two touchdowns.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Bishop McGuinness' defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by  Cayden Long and  Luke Holton, who racked up  four sacks between them.
 Meanwhile, Mountain Island Charter strolled past Christ the King with  points to spare on Friday, taking the game  34-15.
 Mountain Island Charter didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Kayden Clark and  Joe Oliver Ii. Oliver Ii also  snagged  an  interception, which is notable because Mountain Island Charter is 2-1 when he posts  at  least  one  interception, but 1-3 otherwise.
 Bishop McGuinness' victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Mountain Island Charter, their win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 3-4.
 Bishop McGuinness didn't have too much breathing room in their  matchup against Mountain Island Charter  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023, but they still walked away with  a  26-21 victory.
