Volleyball Recap: Wiregrass Comes Up Short

Wiregrass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Saturday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-5.

Avery Wilson paced Wiregrass' offense, picking up six kills. Wilson got some help from Ellie Alford and her 12 assists.

Wiregrass' defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 20-1-1.

Coming up, Wiregrass will head out on the road to square off against Grace and Glory Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ezekiel Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
