Softball Recap: Calhoun Takes a Loss

Calhoun suffered their closest loss since April 4th on Saturday. They fell just short of the Mt. Vernon Rams by a score of 3-1. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Calhoun's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Mt. Vernon, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Calhoun will face off against Belleville West at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mt. Vernon, they will take on Pinckneyville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
