Basketball Recap: Wahama Takes a Loss

If Wahama was feeling good fresh off their 55-10 takedown of Hannan last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wahama White Falcons fell 50-43 to the Buffalo Bison on Monday. The White Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bison apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Buffalo's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camryn Samples, who went 6 for 8 on her way to 13 points and four steals. What's more, Samples also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Alivia Luikart was another key player, going 5 of 11 on her way to 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Wahama now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Buffalo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wahama will take on Ravenswood in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Buffalo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
