Basketball Game Preview: Princeton Tigers vs. Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats

Princeton and Chisago Lakes Area are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Princeton Tigers duke it out with the Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Princeton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Coon Rapids with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 79-63. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Cardinals are ranked 294th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chisago Lakes Area hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 55-45 victory over Hibbing on Friday.

Princeton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Chisago Lakes Area, their win bumped their record up to 2-11.
