With a playoff win on the line, Santiago rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Palos Verdes Sea Kings by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Sharks sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Santiago had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-14.

Logan Chambers paced Santiago's offense, picking up 16 kills. Chambers got some help from Carson Chambers and his 40 assists. Finally, Kingston Foote kept Santiago's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Santiago pushed their record up to 21-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Palos Verdes, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-10-1.

Looking ahead, Santiago will take on Woodcrest Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Royals will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Sharks surely won't give up without a fight. Palos Verdes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
