Volleyball Recap: Hallsville Starts Season with Win Against Van

Hallsville had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Van Vandals on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bobcats also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2018.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14, 25-20.

Kaycin Farrell paced Hallsville's offense, picking up eight kills. Farrell got some help from Lilly Fry and her 14 assists. Tailor Benson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hallsville will head out to face off against Central Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Van, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Edgewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
