Soccer Recap: Kern Valley Takes a Loss

Kern Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to the Mammoth Huskies. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in December of 2024.

Kern Valley was without their leading scorer, Matthew Vierra, in Thursday's match. With Vierra sidelined, Jackson Ewghorst got his first action of the season.

Kern Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Mammoth, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5-2 record this season.

Kern Valley has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Mojave on the 28th. As for Mammoth, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Bishop Union on the 28th.
