Basketball Recap: Galen Roberts Key Part of Team Effort in Warriors Win

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They took down North Atlanta 64-49. This was payback for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, who suffered a 57-54 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead KIPP Atlanta Collegiate to victory, but perhaps none more so than Galen Roberts, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 19 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of King Jones, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

North Atlanta's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, KIPP Atlanta Collegiate will take on Westlake in a tournament on Saturday. As for North Atlanta, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Riverwood at 6:30 p.m.
