Tri-Valley is 9-1 against Minersville since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldogs will be taking part in a tournament against the Battlin' Miners at 7:00 p.m.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither Tri-Valley nor Tamaqua made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Bulldogs fell 6-3 to the Blue Raiders.

Minersville hadn't beaten Williams Valley on the road since April 21, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Battlin' Miners walked away with a 6-2 win over the Vikings. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Battlin' Miners.

Minersville's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Tri-Valley, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5.

Tri-Valley took their victory against Minersville when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 14-4 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Battlin' Miners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
