Basketball Recap: Scammon Bay Piles Up the Points Against Ignatius Beans

Scammon Bay had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past the Ignatius Beans Strivers, posting a 62-21 win. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Strivers are ranked 77th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Scammon Bay's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.8 points. As for Ignatius Beans, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Coincidentally, Scammon Bay and Ignatius Beans will both be playing Emmonak the next time they take the court. Ignatius Beans will head out to face Emmonak at 11:00 p.m. on Friday, while Scammon Bay will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
