Volleyball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

Wayne lost against Pierce back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Devils took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluejays. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14.

Haley Kramer paced Wayne's offense, picking up three kills. Kramer got some help from Mallory Redden and her ten assists.

Leading Pierce to victory were Haley Scholting and Josie Painter. Scholting had three aces and three assists, while Painter had six digs and four assists.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Pierce, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Wayne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Crofton on the 9th. As for Pierce, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against O'Neill on the 9th.
