Basketball Game Preview: Wasco Tigers vs. Kennedy Thunderbirds

Wasco hasn't had much luck against Kennedy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wasco Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Kennedy Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m.

Wasco is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 85-59 to McFarland. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1280th, while the Cougars are ranked 492nd).

Meanwhile, Kennedy slipped by Exeter 54-53 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunderbirds.

Kennedy is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for Wasco, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Wasco ended up a good deal behind Kennedy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, losing 64-47. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Kennedy's Zikeem Dozer, who posted 15 points and six steals.
