Baseball Game Preview: Tioga Indians vs. Kinder Yellowjackets

The Tioga Indians will challenge the Kinder Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Tioga's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Kinder's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Tioga is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Louis Catholic just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Saints by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kinder, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against DeQuincy on Thursday by a score of 11-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Yellowjackets considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Kinder is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Tioga, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-9.
